Hmm, maybe it's because all that whining and complaining does have an element of truth in it? She's righteous, as opposed to self-righteous?
Faith doesn't annoy me, either, and she's messed up enough that I actually find her quite interesting.
She's irresistible. Also, Buffy/Faith OTP!!!1!!
